Cookie Policy

1. The short version

Three things, and you can see all of them on this page. One cookie signs you in, one cookie remembers your language, and one browser-storage key remembers whether you like the site light or dark.

There is no analytics product on this site, no advertising or remarketing tag, no social pixel, and no third-party script that could set a cookie of its own. We are not counting you and we are not selling the fact that you visited. That is also why you have never seen a cookie banner here: there is nothing to ask you to consent to.

2. Everything we store in your browser

df_theme Local storage — not a cookie	Remembers light or dark mode, and is read before the first paint so a dark-mode user never gets a flash of white. It is stored in your browser and is never sent to our server.	Until you clear your browser storage.

All three are first-party: they are set by dealsfixers.com and are readable only by dealsfixers.com. None of them contains your name, your email address or anything about the deals you have done.

3. What we do not use

No analytics — no Google Analytics, no product-analytics SDK, no heatmaps or session recording.
No advertising, remarketing or conversion tags, and no social-network pixels.
No third-party embeds that set cookies. There is no chat widget, no comment platform and no embedded video player on this site.
No cross-site tracking, no device fingerprinting, and no profile of you sold or shared with anyone.
No third-party fonts. Inter, IBM Plex Mono and Noto Nastaliq Urdu are served from our own domain, so loading a page does not quietly call another company’s servers.

4. Why there is no consent banner

The session cookie is strictly necessary — without it there is no way to keep you logged in or to keep a guest attached to their deal room, so it does not require consent under the usual cookie rules. The language cookie is only ever written when you yourself pick a language, and the theme preference never leaves your device.

Since we set nothing for analytics or advertising, there is nothing left to ask about. If that ever changes, this page changes first and a real choice will appear before any such cookie is set.

5. Controlling them

Logging out deletes the session cookie and destroys the matching session on our side, so the token is dead even if a copy of it survives somewhere.
Your browser’s privacy settings can clear or block all three at any time. Blocking the session cookie means you cannot stay logged in — and because guest deal rooms run on the same cookie, a room you opened will not follow you to your next page.
Clearing local storage resets the theme to whatever your operating system prefers.

6. The mobile app

The DealsFixers mobile app does not use cookies at all. It holds the same kind of session token on the device and sends it with each request instead, and logging out revokes that token on our side exactly as it does on the web. If you turn on push notifications, the notification token issued by your phone is stored so we can send alerts to that device, and it is passed to the push service that delivers them.

7. Server logs

Separately from anything stored in your browser, our hosting provider keeps standard request logs — IP address, user agent, timing — which we use to keep the service running and to investigate abuse. Those are covered in the Privacy Policy, which also lists everyone who processes data on our behalf.

8. Changes and contact

If we add, remove or change anything stored in your browser, this page is updated and the “last updated” date above changes with it.
