What actually protects you
Not slogans β these are mechanisms built into the product.
The money is held, not forwarded
A marketplace payment moves from your available balance into a locked one that neither side can spend. Deal-room funds sit at our published USDT address until the release. Nobody can be paid by simply asking.
A human on every private deal
A deal room is offered to one moderator at a time until someone accepts it. They verify the payment on-chain, follow the delivery and perform the release themselves.
The dealer stays anonymous
Moderators appear to both parties only as "Moderator" β no name, no profile, nothing to look up. That makes them harder to pressure, bribe or impersonate.
Disputes decided by a person
Either party in a deal room can freeze it after payment. A moderator, or an administrator with no stake in it, reads the whole room and decides where the money goes, with a written reason.
The room is an evidence log
Messages, images, files and every status change are timestamped and kept. That log is exactly what a dispute is decided on, and neither side can quietly edit it.
Two-factor authentication
Turn on TOTP in your profile and a stolen password is not enough to reach your account. Password resets are single-use, expire in an hour, and are rate-limited.
No self-moderation
A moderator who is a party to a deal is blocked from accepting, releasing or resolving it. Staff are welcome to trade here; they just cannot referee their own game.
Admin moderation
Gigs and accounts are reviewable. Accounts used for fraud, stolen goods or abuse are suspended, and a suspended account cannot sign in or move money.
A record you can verify
Completed deals produce business statements and PDF invoices. Each statement carries its own public verify link, so whoever you show it to can check the document against our records without seeing your account.
What happens when you raise a dispute
In a deal room, from the moment funds are locked until the moment they are released.
- You open it from inside the roomWrite what went wrong, in at least a sentence. It is posted into the room, so the other party sees the exact claim rather than a rumour of it.
- The deal freezesNothing releases and nothing cancels while a dispute is open. The money stays exactly where it is β locked in escrow, or held at our address for a deal room.
- A moderator reviews the roomThe assigned dealer, or an uninvolved administrator, reads the full history: what was promised, what was delivered, when, and what each side said at the time.
- Both sides can add evidenceScreenshots, files, transaction hashes, delivery proofs. Post them in the room β anything sent privately elsewhere is not something a moderator can weigh.
- A decision is written into the roomThe outcome is either completed β the seller is paid β or cancelled, and the buyer gets the money back. The moderator posts a note explaining why, and both parties are notified.
Your side of it
Your account
- Turn on two-factor authentication. It is in your profile, takes a minute with any authenticator app, and is the single biggest thing you can do for an account that can hold a balance.
- Use a password you use nowhere else. Most account takeovers are credentials leaked from another site, not anything clever.
- Guest sessions are for deal rooms only. If you created a room without signing up, that session cannot reach a wallet, place an order or withdraw anything β by design. Create a real account when you want the marketplace.
- Check the address every time. Copy it from the payment panel in the room. Address-swapping malware is a real thing, so compare the first and last characters after pasting.
Identity verification
You can submit identity documents from your profile, and administrators review them. Verification is not currently required to trade β we would rather tell you that plainly than imply that everyone on the platform has been checked. Treat a counterparty as unverified unless you have a reason not to, and let escrow do the work instead of trust.
Nobody from DealsFixers will ever ask you for these
- Your password, your 2FA code, or a password reset link.
- A payment to a βdifferentβ or βpersonalβ address.
- An extra fee to unlock, release or verify your own money.
- Remote access to your machine.
Moderators speak to you inside the room, labelled Moderator. Anyone contacting you privately claiming to be staff is not staff. Report it to support@dealsfixers.com.
Five rules that prevent almost everything
What escrow cannot do
An escrow service that oversells itself gets people hurt. These are the real limits.
- Crypto is irreversible. There are no chargebacks here. That is why sellers are safe from payment reversal fraud, and it is also why a mistaken send cannot be undone.
- Deal-room payments are external. The buyer pays from their own wallet to our published address, so what we do is verify that the payment arrived and hold it β a deal room does not create a balance in your account, and the on-chain part of it is outside our control until it confirms.
- We only see what is in the room. A promise made on Telegram, a file sent by email, a call nobody recorded β none of it is evidence we can weigh.
- We judge delivery, not quality of judgement. A moderator can tell whether the thing described was handed over. They cannot decide whether you overpaid, or whether a service was worth buying.
- Some goods cannot be un-sold. An account or a licence key that has been handed over and then reclaimed by its original platform is a risk escrow reduces but does not erase. Do the handover in the room, with proof, before approving.
- We are not a bank, and we are not licensed or insured as a financial institution. We hold funds for a transaction, in the course of that transaction, and nothing here is financial advice.
The rest of the policy detail is in the terms of service, the refunds and disputes page, and the privacy policy.
Report a problem
- A deal room going wrong: open a dispute from inside the room. That freezes the money, which is the urgent part, and puts a moderator on it.
- A marketplace order going wrong: do not approve the delivery β that alone keeps the funds locked β then email us the order number.
- A scam attempt, an impersonator or a prohibited listing: email support@dealsfixers.com with the room code, order number or gig link.
- Your account may be compromised: change your password, enable 2FA, and email us immediately so we can look at recent activity.
