What escrow actually means
The oldest problem in an online deal is who goes first. The buyer does not want to send money to a stranger who might vanish. The seller does not want to hand over the work, the account or the code and then get ignored. Someone has to take the risk.
Escrow removes that choice. The buyer pays, but the money does not reach the seller β it sits with us, locked, visible to both sides. The seller can start work knowing the money exists. The buyer can wait knowing the seller cannot walk off with it. When the buyer confirms they got what they paid for, we release it. If they do not, a human looks at the evidence and decides.
That is the entire product. Everything below is just the mechanics of it in the two places it happens.
Two ways to deal
Both are escrow-protected. Pick the one that matches how you met the other person.
Marketplace orders
The seller has already listed what they do. You order it, your wallet balance is locked, they deliver, you approve. Needs a free account and a funded wallet.
Private deal rooms
You already agreed a deal somewhere else and need a neutral third party. Open a room, share an 8-character code, a human dealer moderates. No account needed, payment in external USDT.
Marketplace orders, step by step
For gigs listed on the site. The money moves through your DealsFixers wallet.
- Fund your walletDeposit USDT on TRC-20, ERC-20 or BEP-20 to the address shown in your wallet, paste the transaction hash, and we credit the balance once we have confirmed it on-chain. Minimum deposit $10. We charge nothing to deposit.
- Find a gig and order itBrowse the marketplace, pick a package, and place the order. The price and the fee are read from the listing on our side β nothing the browser sends can change them.
- The money locksThe full price moves from your available balance to locked. It is out of your reach and out of the sellerβs reach. The order opens in the "In escrow" state and the seller is notified.
- The seller deliversThe seller does the work and marks the order delivered. Keep the conversation in messages so there is a record of what was agreed and what was handed over.
- You approveCheck what you received. Approving is the only thing that releases the money, and it is irreversible β so do it once you have actually verified the delivery, not before.
- Funds releaseThe locked amount clears, the seller is credited the price minus the platform fee, and both sides get a transaction record. See fees for the exact numbers.
- The seller withdrawsSellers request a USDT withdrawal to their own address. Withdrawals are reviewed by a person before they are sent, have a $50 minimum, and one can be pending at a time.
Deal rooms, step by step
For a deal you arranged somewhere else β Telegram, Discord, Instagram, a forum. No account, no wallet.
- One of you opens the roomGive the deal a title, describe what is being exchanged, set the amount, and say whether you are the buyer or the seller. Creating a room takes no sign-up β a guest session is made for you automatically. Minimum deal is $10.
- Share the 8-character invite codeThe room hands you a code like 7F3A9C2E. Send it to the other party privately β anyone holding it can take the empty seat, so it is not something to post in a public group.
- The other party joinsThey enter the code on the deal rooms page and take whichever role you did not. Chat opens for both of you, with file and image attachments, and the room starts calling for a moderator.
- A dealer joins to moderateA human moderator is offered the room, one at a time, until someone accepts. They appear in the chat as "Moderator" β you never see their name, and they can never moderate a deal they are personally involved in.
- The buyer pays in USDTThe room shows our USDT address and a QR code for the network the buyer picks (TRC-20, ERC-20 or BEP-20). The buyer sends the payment from their own wallet, externally β a deal room never touches your DealsFixers balance β then marks it as sent. The dealer verifies the transaction on-chain before the room moves on.
- The seller delivers, the buyer approvesThe seller hands over the goods, the account, the files, the work β in the room, where it is on the record β and marks the deal delivered. The buyer checks it and approves.
- The dealer releasesThe seller posts their USDT payout address and network in the chat, and the dealer sends the amount minus the platform fee. The room closes as completed. Fees start at a flat $10 β the full tiers are on fees.
The states a deal room moves through
The status badge at the top of every room is one of these.
| State | What it means | Who acts next |
|---|---|---|
| Waiting for party | The room exists and one seat is empty. | Whoever has the invite code |
| Needs dealer | Both parties are in. Moderators are being called. | A moderator |
| Awaiting funds | A dealer is moderating. Payment instructions are showing. | The buyer |
| Funds locked | Payment sent and verified on-chain by the dealer. | The seller |
| Delivered | The seller says the deal is done. | The buyer, then the dealer |
| Completed | The dealer has released the money to the seller. | Nobody β it is finished |
| Disputed | Either party raised a problem. The deal is frozen. | The dealer or an admin |
| Cancelled | A party ended the room before completion. | Nobody |
When something goes wrong
In a deal room, either party can open a dispute from inside the room once the money is locked β before that there is nothing to argue about, and after release there is nothing left to hold. Opening one freezes the deal: no release, no cancellation, nothing moves until it is resolved.
On a marketplace order, the protection is your approval. Do not approve a delivery you are not happy with β the money stays locked in escrow for as long as you do not β and email support@dealsfixers.com with the order number so an administrator can review it.
How a dispute is decided
- You write down what went wrong. The reason is posted into the room so the other side sees exactly what you claimed.
- The assigned moderator β or an administrator with no stake in the deal β reads the full room history: every message, every file, every timestamp.
- They can ask both parties for more. Screenshots, transaction hashes, login proofs, whatever the deal turned on.
- They close it one of two ways: completed, and the money goes to the seller, or cancelled, and it goes back to the buyer. A written note explaining the decision is posted in the room.
The decision is made by a person, not an algorithm, and it is final as far as the money we hold is concerned. Read safety for what makes a strong case, and refunds and disputes for the policy detail.
What DealsFixers does not do
Being straight about the edges of the service is part of it being useful. We are an escrow and moderation service, and that is all we are.
- We are not a party to your deal. We do not vet whether a price is fair, whether a service is worth buying, or whether the other person is pleasant to work with. We hold the money and judge the delivery.
- We are not a bank and we are not licensed or insured as a financial institution. Balances are a record of USDT we hold for you, not a deposit account, and nothing here is investment advice.
- We cannot reverse a blockchain transaction. USDT sent to the wrong address, or on the wrong network, is gone β by us, by you, by anyone.
- We cannot protect a deal that happens outside a room. If you take the payment to a private wallet or the delivery to a private chat, there is nothing for a moderator to hold or read.
- We do not allow everything to be traded. Stolen or hacked accounts, credentials, malware and anything illegal for either party are refused β see the terms.
- There are no chargebacks. Crypto settlement is final. That protects sellers from payment reversal fraud, and it is exactly why the money is held and moderated in the first place.
Common questions
- Do I need an account?
- Not for a deal room β open one or join with a code and you are in. You do need a free account to buy or sell on the marketplace, because that side uses a wallet balance.
- Who pays the platform fee?
- The seller. The buyer pays the agreed amount and nothing on top; the fee comes out of the seller's payout. Fees start at a flat $10 β the full tables are on fees.
- Can I use my DealsFixers wallet balance in a deal room?
- No. Deal rooms are settled entirely in external USDT sent to our published addresses, and are independent of your on-site balance. Only marketplace orders use the wallet.
- What if the other party disappears?
- In a deal room: before payment, cancel it β nothing has moved. After payment, open a dispute, and the money is frozen where it is until a moderator decides. On a marketplace order: do not approve the delivery, which leaves the money locked, and email support with the order number.
- Does the money release on its own after a while?
- No. A marketplace order releases when the buyer approves it. A deal room releases when the buyer approves and the dealer sends the payout. If nobody acts, a human resolves it β nothing times out into a payment.
- Who is the dealer, and can they take the money?
- A DealsFixers moderator, shown to both parties only as "Moderator". They cannot be a party to the deal they are moderating, they act on the buyerβs approval or a dispute decision, and every action they take is written into the room log.
- How do I get a receipt?
- Completed deals feed the business statements and PDF invoices in your account. Each statement you generate carries its own public verify link, so a bank or an accountant can check the document against our records without you handing over your account.
